We made it – another week in the books. It is so exciting to be continuing my mini blog series on shopping local. I believe in the value of shopping locally, and try to do so as often as I can because of the many benefits it has for my community.
What are everyone’s weekend plans? Whether it is apple picking, pumpkin picking, or going on a hayride, you are going to need the perfect Fall outfit to document it on Instagram and I have JUST the place for you.
Last month my friend Sara and I were wandering down Walnut Street in Shadyside and stumbled into Apricot Lane Boutique. It was love at first site. The girls working in the boutique were so kind and the clothes immediately caught my eye. Apricot Lane Boutique Pittsburgh is locally owned & operated by mother/daughter duo Debbie and Taylor. The store is filled with so many fabulous brands that are perfect for any occasion from casual wear to formal wear. The best part about ALB Pittsburgh is that they constantly have new arrivals! Every trip you make will be worth it because there will always be something new on the floor! Don’t worry, if you love a piece that you see on their Instagram but can’t make it into the store, send them a DM and they can ship it to you!
To say that I am obsessed with these flare jeans and this sweater from Apricot Lane Boutique is an understatement. It is the absolute perfect fall outfit. The jeans are so comfortable and the darker wash makes them easy to dress up or down. I am a little on the short side (5’4) so I wore these cuties with my favorite pair of heel booties. The sweater is the most gorgeous shade of blue but has other multi-colored thread woven into it, too! My favorite part about this sweater is how it is shorter in the front and longer in the back. Next time, I am totally adding a fun belt to this look.

Jumpsuit | Shoes | Watch | Clutch
Pittsburgh Fashion Week was such an awesome experience! I met so many new people and was able to see the work of some incredibly talented local designers. Not only were the designers amazing, but those who attended the events had me in awe with their impeccable style.
There is no one that I trust more to tell me what is in style this season than those who (IMO) were best dressed at events last week. Here are the noteworthy trends and amazing women wearing them at Pittsburgh Fashion Week 2018:
The Fashionista | Pants | Cami | Sunglasses
Hannah was absolutely killing it at the runway show with this 90’s throwback look! From the scrunchie and sunnies to the platform shoes – I am so in love with how she put this together. The 90’s trend is one that I think may be here to stay.
The Fashionista | Blazer | Leggings | Shoes
I think Terra won fashion week with this look! Her sequin blazer had me doing double takes. Terra paired this blazer with leather leggings (under $40!) and Stuart Weitzman sandals. She completed this look with a dark lip and a sleek hairdo done by Parlor|Six Hair Studio. Terra was able to find this current look at a discount by doing a little shopping around. As if! Tiffany was channeling her inner Cher Horowitz in this plaid belted dress for the perfect Fall look. Plaid is everywhere this season and is definitely a trend to jump on! Her bag adds a fun pattern and color to this look. Tiffany’s Instagram is full of Fall inspiration.

Serenity’s looks at #PGHFW18 were so fabulous. Each of her outfits had an amazing pop of color, which I noticed was a huge trend at the events. I am seeing a LOT of leopard print this season and am not mad about it. Leopard is my favorite color in the Fall, but colored leopard?! Sign me up. This look, worn by Courtney from Beauties in the Burgh, is actually a two piece set! I know, I am as shocked as you are. How fun! This look can be worn together or separately. Try these pants with a black blazer, and the top with a pair of skinny jeans.

Sweater weather is my favorite weather. I am sharing my 7 most favoritest types of sweaters under $50 that I can’t wait to break out this season!
I am loving the rust color this year! And of course, the oversized look. This is cute to wear with jeans, leggings, or a dress.
This sweatshirt dress is truly a must-have! Pair this cutie with a pair of sneakers and add a denim jacket for an extra layer.
I truly have every color! I wear these with leggings or with jeans and booties.
The duster cardigan in tan is so chic. Try this with a white cami blouse or even a button down. I am totally adding a pair of leopard flats to wear with mine!

It’s Friday Darling,
Fri-nally! We made it! Is it just me or did this week fly by? I was just in New York last week and came back to a long to-do list!
I’ve grown up with a family business, which makes shopping local so important to me! Among the many benefits of shopping local, you are supporting your community and people’s dreams. I am doing a mini blog series on all of my favorite local places to shop that are totally worth checking out.
How perfect is this outfit for Fall? I got this amazing ensemble at the fabulous Mack and Mario boutique. It is a mobile boutique that travels around the greater Pittsburgh area. You all know that I am a dog lover so when I found out that Mack and Mario is named after the boutique owner’s two dachshunds I was immediately sold. Check out their site and shop their Instagram.
As I was shopping at the boutique I learned what Mack and Mario is all about. Lori, the owner, has some impressive stylist experience and travels the Pittsburgh area in her fashion truck to local events and private parties! You can Reserve the Mack and Mario fashion truck for your next home party! You provide the wine and Mack and Mario will come right to your door to style you and your girlfriends. Hostesses of the party will even get a discount. I don’t know about you, but a private shopping party sounds like so much fun!
3 Tips for Fall
Fall can be tough because we want to look seasonally appropriate but we never know if it is going to be in the 50’s or in the 80’s (Pittsburgh, am I right?). So, with that being said, I wanted to share my favorite tips for creating the perfect Fall outfit, even when it may not really feel like Fall weather.
Tip #1: Find the perfect short sleeve dress
I’m wearing a suede short sleeved dress from Mack and Mario that is the absolute perfect piece for Fall. The suede screams “Fall” while the short sleeve length says “I know you want to look cute but it is so hot. You’re welcome”
Tip #2: Layer
It is really that simple. Grab a jacket that you can keep with you for that annoying hot/cold day. I wore the leather jacket from Mack and Mario over my shoulders for a fun edgy look. I love the star details on this jacket.
Tip #3: Peep-toe shoes
Looks like booties…feels like sandals (close enough!)

Can you believe how fast summer just flew by? I think I blinked and summer was just…. over. I am not complaining though because truthfully, the 90-degree heat is really not for me. I prefer Fall. I am much more of a sweater and booties girl. So…. let’s talk about how freakin’ cute this #OOTD is.
I LOVE camo. I think that it’s a Fall staple and I promise you will see me wearing more of it this season. When I got this jacket, I honestly never thought to pair it with a dress. But then I found this plum colored dress…. a match made in heaven. And then I added the tote….. oh my gourd! Magnolia on Main has all of my favorites this season.
